Oh, hey there..

I teach Grade 7/8 among one of the most beautiful places in the world- the Bruce Peninsula. Bruce Peninsula District School is located in Lion's Head and is a part of Bluewater District School Board. Bruce Peninsula District School is an Ontario Eco-School and UNESCO School and is located in a UNESCO Biosphere.

I was selected as a 2016 National Geographic Grosvenor Teacher Fellow and traveled to the Arctic Svalbard in June 2016.

I am currently working as a Student Success Grade 7/8 Literacy and Numeracy Coach in Bluewater District School Board. I am also currently working on a Masters of Education at the University of Toronto in Curriculum Studies and Teacher Development with a collaborative degree in Comparative, International, Development Education.

About the National Geographic Grosvenors Teacher Fellowship

The Grosvenor Teacher Fellow (GTF) program is a professional development opportunity made possible by a partnership between National Geographic Education and Lindblad Expeditions. The program is named in honor of Gilbert M. Grosvenor, Chairman Emeritus National Geographic Society and Education Foundation Board. This opportunity gives current K-12 classroom teachers and informal educators from the 50 U.S. states, Canada, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico the opportunity to extend Grosvenor’s legacy of excellence in geographic education. Exemplary educators are recognized for their commitment to geographic education and given the opportunity to travel aboard the Lindblad-National Geographic fleet. Through this experience, they bring new geographic awareness into their learning environments and communities.
